I have a situation where we're installing an application that requires .NET Framework 2, SP2, but want to install the .NET 4.0 Client Profile if Framework 2.0 is not detected, as it is compatible with everything from XP SP3 through Win7 SP1.
In other words, the minimum requirement is Framework 2, but it will run under 2.0 sp2 or later. I note that detection code in the 4.0 CP package looks only to the registry key for 4.0. I'm assuming I'll need to build a package with custom detection code to cover the situation where the app will run under 2.0 sp2 or higher?
