Ams and delay the release new versions

Hi,
Whether support the ams is stopped?
ams much can be extended. Why there is delay in release new versions with new features?
The software upgrade process has slowed and later versions of 8.x not much changed.
Please ams manufacturers respond to this question.
Whether ams extend in the near future? or like mmb software will be forgotten?
